All Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go

Red Lace Dress: Urban Outfitters// Leather Jacket: Zara//Booties: Steve Madden// Ear jackets: Renegade Silver//

Hey everybody! I hope you had a wonderful and lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas day with your friends and family! This year, Jake and I just relaxed together in the apartment with a big pot of home made chili with cornbread and had a movie marathon. It's so rare that we both have a day off at the same time, so relaxing and spending quality time with each other felt amazing! :)

I bought this lovely red lace dress about a month ago and have been dying to wear it out however, I have nowhere to wear it to (haha, we are LOSERS!)! I decided to play dress up and walk the deserted streets of San Francisco to take some pics at the San Francisco City Hall. It was a little chilly, so I wore my favorite faux leather jacket from Zara to keep warm and some sturdy booties to walk around in. I always love good combinations of hard/soft, masculine/feminine, structural/flowy etc so this leather and lace combination was right up my alley!

How was everyone's Christmas this year and did Santa bring you anything special? What was your favorite gift that you gave or received? Sorry, I am SO nosy but I love hearing what people get as gifts!! It's really exciting! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you what Santa brought me! It's a new video camera! I can't wait to show you what I plan on doing it, but I will include more on that later ;) Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Chilling at home with the boyfriend sounds absolutely lovely! This is pretty odd but I went to the gym with a bunch of my friends during Christmas afternoon and spent the evening at home with my mum. It was lovely!

A new video camera sounds fantastic, I can't wait to hear more of your plans!

    1. Thank you so much Emma! You know, I got it on the Online returns rack at urban outfitters and I'm realizing that the price was marked wrong... I got it for $59 (such a steal!) and I discovered that it's actually $139 online. I feel kinda bad but oh well! haha! Ooo your Christmas sounds really nice! It's great being surrounded by so many people who care about you :) I bet you were so tired at the end! Hope you're able to relax and put your feet up! Talk to you soon!

  6. Oh, a video camera! Do you plan on doing YT videos maybe? I would second that!
I spend most of my Christmas eating and seeing family at our new/old place. My favorite gift? I cant really tell, there were quite a few lovely things. The most memorable one was a movie my husband made from our trip to New Zealand and Singapore earlier this year, including out daughters first steps.

    1. You know, I think I will! :D I'm really intimidated by the quality of this camera because it shows 1 single cat hair on the floor or even specs of dust, so I'm scared to know what it will show of my pores and pimples. I guess we will find out soon! haha! Oh wow! That sounds like the most amazing gifts! You can't put a price on moments like that :) I'm happy to hear you're doing well, Anne!

I live near SF as well, if you ever wanna do a meetup (:

Makeup is ALWAYS a good choice, especially with all of the amazing gift sets they sell at Sephora and such around Christmas! I got an amazing video camera and money (my Parents say i'm too hard to shop for XD) So I bought myself a BEAUTIFUL black Cheap Monday mesh dress and some Micellar Water to try out haha. Also, a lipstick and some korean face masks. You and I have such issues with beauty products, I love it! Hope you're doing well Emily! :)

  27. Love this look on you! Every time I see your hair it makes me want to beg my hairdresser to make mine lighter- she really doesn't want too because my hair is super fine...probably a good thing she won't haha!

I am also a huge fan of the hard/soft combos and this one is perfect! So funny because I feel like I always have cute clothes that I am stuck just playing dress up in or wearing somewhere super casual. It makes for fun pictures though!

Hope you enjoyed your Christmas & Happy New Year too! :) Excited to see what you will be working on with your new video camera!!
