Life Update- Blonde Rhombus goes to Veterinary School

I'm not sure if anyone reads this anymore (probably not) but I've been thinking about doing an update post on here for a while now. I feel like I've completely forgotten how to update my blog and publish a post, so stay with me!

In the last three years, I have graduated school with my Bachelor's of Science degree majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. Following graduation, I applied to veterinary schools strictly out of the country due to my desire to travel and accepted an offer to St. Georges university in Grenada.

As I write this, I'm already living in Grenada! I live off campus in a 1 bedroom apartment that backs up to a mountain and lush, tropical forest. I brought Carl the cat (of course) so he's been here with me, chirping at lizards on the porch and laying on the couch spread eagle as he tends to do.

The adjustment has been surprisingly easy and I start classes in a little less than a week. I just picked up my books and have been looking through them and the course material for all 7 classes I'm signed up for. I don't know how I'll survive the material, to be perfectly honest. I'm happy to know that I have several beautiful beaches nearby to cry on and a gorgeous campus with ocean views that I can use to stare off into space when I'm brain dead and burnt out.

As far as this blog goes, I'm not sure if I'll keep updating it. I may keep it alive as a creative writing outlet and as a way to bitch and moan about how awful my quality of life is as I study, but I haven't decided what direction this should go in with it overall. Time will tell. Thanks for bearing with me :)

Until next time,

-Rachel
